5G Internet: Ericsson trial 5G with DOCOMO, Vodafone and more telecom companies
After standardization of Internet 5G specification, 5G interoperability was demonstrated with Ericsson. This performance was attended by Telstra, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT & T, Sprint, NTT DoCoMo, Vodafone, Orange and SK Telecom Companies.
Ericsson has announced 5G New Radio Interoperability Trial with Global Carriers after 3GPP standardization of this non-standalone (NSA) 5GNR space this week.
In this trial, Australian mobile telecom company Telstra, T-Mobile of the United States, Verizon, Sprint, and AT & T, Japanese company NTT Docomo; Korean telecom company SK Telecom, Vodafone and European company Orange as well as smartphone chipset company Qualcomm participated in this trial demonstration.
Live performances in Ericsson's Lab in Sweden and research lab of Qualcomm in the US in New Jersey, USA, found that the company uses 3.6GHz and millimeter wave (mmwave) 28GHz spectrum frequencies for 5G base stations.
"Ericsson said that this demonstration is proving that 5G networks will be developed in 2019 which can revolutionize telecom. Research on the 5G network going on for years was a milestone. In the initial tests, in collaboration with our key partners Working and ensuring the benefits of our global portfolio customers. " This is said by Frederick Jajling, Head of Ericsson EVP and Business Area Network.
"Telstra is working to accelerate the introduction of the 5G in Australia and it is an important milestone in the direction of commercialization of interoperability," said Mike Wright of Telstra Network.
Ericsson had earlier worked on advanced mobility tests with all the telecoms involved in this week's Interoperability Trial, in which Telstra's 2016 5G test has achieved a speed of 20 GBps. At the beginning of this month, Gigabit LTE testing was done with T-Mobile. In America, Verizon, AT & T, NTT DoCoMo, Vodafone companies have done 5G tests.
China Telecom EVP Liu Guikiang said that in 2018, many Chinese major cities are expected to begin regional testing; Katie CTO Dongmi Lee has been keeping an eye on China mobile EVP Zhengmao Li2020 to bring the perfect 5G standards for the telecom sector in the beginning of 2019. NTT Docomo CTO doctor Hiroshi Nakamura said that Japanese telecom will launch NSA 5G services by 2020. SK Telecom EVP Jinhua Park said that the Korean Telco will bring 5G in the initial business service in 2019.
