Emergency in California: to control over Hepatitis A virus

California: Governor Jerry Brown has declared the state of emergency to deal with the spread of hepatitis A.There are at least 35 people have been killed in the San Diego after outbreak that has affected so far according to the California Department of Public Health.The governor says that this announcement will allow the state to increase its supply of vaccines. The state can now procure vaccinations directly from the manufacturers and distribute them to the public of California.

There are almost 578 cases have been reported In California, mostly in the homeless population of San Diego according to the CDPH. The declaration has been issued by Gov. Jerry Brown on Friday to increase its vaccines supply of hepatitis A in order to control the current outbreak. Vaccines  have already been distributed to at-risk populations in affected areas of California but additional supplies are still needed. Governor Jerry Brown the statement on Friday as below.
“Today’s proclamation gives the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) authority to immediately purchase vaccines directly from manufacturers and distribute them to impacted communities,” 

What is Hepatitis A virus, How it spread:
The Hepatitis A virus is spread when the virus is ingested from contact with hands, objects, food, or drinks that have been contaminated by the feces of an infected person, according to the CDPH.
Symptoms of The Hepatitis A virus those infected include fever, feeling ill, yellowness of the skin, lack of appetite, and nausea, the CDPH said.
